Working within the Treatment South Finance team supporting the operational business, this role will have two Accounting Technicians as direct reports and involve all aspects of managing these individuals, including setting of objectives and progress reviews.Key responsibilities include:Production of monthly management accounts delivered to tight deadlines together with sound analysis and investigation of results and variances for a number of operational units including group consolidation processesRegular site visits and interaction with operations to ensure accurate financial reporting and support to business development is achieved.Provide support to business operations in preparation for annual budgets and forecastsStatutory accounts preparation and liaising with Group auditorsEnsure all contracts and depots within the remit are complying with Group financial policies and procedures, including performing regular balance sheets reviewsWorking with clients on contract performance and adapting systems to any changes in serviceMonitor and evaluate procedures to ensure cash flow forecasting remains accurate/effective.Control and reporting of capital expenditure and financial analysis of operational data and KPIPost investment financial review and analysis of long term financial performance.What we''re looking for:Qualification with a recognised UK accounting body e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMAExperience of managing and motivating staffGood business acumen; ability to understand the workings of a diverse range of business unitsMust be eager to help move the team forwards.Committed to delivering within set deadlinesWilling and able to document, in a detailed way, current work processesDemonstrate strong communication skills with all levels of stakeholdersMust be confident and a self-starter with the ability to operate in a dynamic environmentSound technical accounting skillsWhat''s next?Apply today, so we can make a difference for generations to come.We''re proud to have been named as one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work for three consecutive years in 2023, 2024 and 2025.
