Business Support and Planning OfficerFull Time (35 hrs/wk), permanent. Part time hours considered (minimum 21 hours per week)Based Horizons (Reading, Berkshire) with up to two days per week working from home Salary range £30,000 to £35,000 pa plus benefitsApplicants are required to submit a current CV, cover letter or email, and a Recruitment Check Form which can be found on our website.We are looking for an organised, passionate and student focussed professional to join the University. You will play a vital role in supporting key activities across the wider Academic Registry team, contributing to both project work and essential student lifecycle processes. With a strong focus on collaboration, service excellence, and compliance, this role is integral to ensuring a seamless and high-quality student experience.Your accountabilities and responsibilities include:Assist with the implementation of strategic objectives and key projects Support the operationalisation of new integrated apprenticeshipsCoordinate and manage the University's academic calendar, including setting key dates and planning student lifecycle activitiesSupport the planning and organisation of graduation ceremoniesAssist the Head of Academic Registry with the preparation of papers and reports for deliberative committees Our main requirements:Relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience Experience in a similar roleExperience coordinating events or projectsOrganisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlinesRelationship-building skills across teams and stakeholdersAt University of the Built Environment we expect employees to demonstrate our values: Passion, Integrity, Excellence and Support.
