Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and proactive Operations Manager to lead high-quality social care services for children, young people and families.Position: Operations ManagerLocation: Reading with travel to provisionsSalary: 45,000 50,000 per annumContract: Full-time, PermanentHours: 37.5 hours per weekAbout the RoleAs Operations Manager, youll play a pivotal role in the day to day running of childrens residential care, supported accommodation and family services. Working closely with the CEO, youll lead and support a multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, person-centred care that meets regulatory standards and delivers meaningful outcomes.Key responsibilities include:Leading service development and driving continuous improvement.Managing and supporting staff recruitment, rotas, supervision, and performance.Overseeing service delivery to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with Ofsted, Childrens Homes Regulations and Supported Accommodation Regulations.Building and maintaining effective partnerships with local authorities and external stakeholders.Leading risk management processes and incident response.Monitoring service outcomes and contributing to strategic planning through reports and evaluations.This role offers the opportunity to influence real change in the lives of vulnerable children and young people, while supporting a dedicated and compassionate workforce.About YouYou will be an experienced leader in childrens social care with a deep understanding of relevant UK regulations and safeguarding requirements.Skilled in managing teams and supporting professional development in a fast-paced, responsive environment.A strong communicator, capable of working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.Strategic and analytical, with a passion for service improvement and accountability.Committed to equality, inclusion and the rights of young people.Essential: You must either be a registered Ofsted inspector or eligible for Ofsted and CQC registration.You will also need to meet enhanced DBS requirements, hold a full UK driving licence, and have the right to work in the UK.About the OrganisationThis role is offered through NFP People on behalf of a not-for-profit organisation that delivers Ofsted-registered residential care, supported accommodation and family-focused services across Reading and Berkshire.
