Financial Controller

Job Summary: Job Description: Financial Management & Accounting Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, Fixed Asset Register, and Revenue Recognition. Ensure timely and accurate recording, filing, and reporting of all financial transactions in compliance with statutory law and financial regulations. Lead the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including management accounts, statutory accounts, and board reports. Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and variance analysis. Manage the transaction processing system and liaise with group finance to consolidate financial results. Implement and manage financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to maintain a strong control environment. Regulatory Compliance & Audits Ensure full compliance with tax regulations, including:Quarterly VAT returns Payroll tax and pension processing Annual P11D & PSA submissions R&D relief claims S455 corporation tax submissions Ensure all relevant documents are filed with Companies House on time. Lead the audit process, serving as the primary contact for auditors during both half-year and full-year audits.Strategic Financial Planning & Risk Management Review and optimise company insurance contracts to maximize cost-effectiveness. Manage cash flow, debt, and debt collection processes efficiently. Ensure financial risk management practices are in place to safeguard company assets. Payroll & Employee Benefits Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate HMRC payments. Manage pension contributions and provide employee education on pension schemes.
