Job Description Cash Allocations & Account Reconciliations AssistantSalary: 30,000 + 25 days holiday + pensionLocation: ReadingContract Type: PermanentWorking Pattern: Full-timeOffice Attendance: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from homeAbout our clientOur client is a multi-site UK business, who operate in the IT sector and for their growing finance team, we are looking for a detail-oriented and organised Cash Allocations & Bank Reconciliations Assistant to join our client's friendly finance team in Reading, supporting the Credit Control function and helping ensure accurate and timely allocation of incoming payments. The RoleReporting into the Finance Team / Credit Control Manager, the successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate customer accounts through daily cash allocations and bank reconciliations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail who enjoys working in a fast-paced finance environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDaily allocation of incoming payments across multiple bank accountsPerforming regular bank reconciliations and resolving discrepancies promptlySupporting the Credit Controllers with account investigations and payment queriesLiaising with internal teams and external stakeholders regarding unidentified receiptsMonitoring aged receipts and ensuring timely resolution of unallocated cashAssisting with month-end finance processes and reportingMaintaining accurate financial records and audit trailsSupporting continuous improvements in cash allocation and reconciliation processesAssisting with ad hoc finance administration duties as requiredSkills & Experience RequiredPrevious experience in cash allocations, bank reconciliations, or transactional financeExperience supporting Credit Control teams is highly desirableStrong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detailGood Excel skills and confidence working with finance systemsAbility to manage workload effectively and meet deadlinesStrong communication skills and a collaborative approachOrganised, reliable, and proactive attitudeWhat We OfferCompetitive salaryHybrid working pattern (4 days office-based, 1 day from home)Supportive and collaborative finance teamOpportunity to join a growing organisation with long-term career prospectsPlease do get in touch for further details of this superb finance role.
