Job Description Liberty has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our team, based in Reading. We're proud to employ the most talented, driven individuals within the property services sector.Responsibilities for this Assistant Quantity Surveyor role are: Assist with the financial and contractual management of numerous construction projectsAssist with managing small schemes from tender handover to final account stageAssist the Senior Quantity Surveyor/ Commercial Manager on larger projectsMaximise the profitability of each projectUnderstand tender process & ability to create appropriate tender documentsPrepare commercial agreements with teams to present to senior staff for sign offMaximise value/incomeWorking to commercial timetableAssist in maximising monthly cash flow positionEnsure the appropriate tender margin is met on each projectLook for ways to increase marginAssist the Senior Quantity Survey to provide accurate and consistent cost reportsManage low value schemes along with contractual position at all stages of the projectImplement terms of contractsMaintain awareness of contractual positionsEffectively manage risk alongside the Senior Quantity SurveyorUndertake efficient enquiry, quotation and order processingEnsure accurate analyst is subcontractor applicationsSubmit proposals to Senior Quantity Surveyor regarding the let of contracts to high quality subcontractors based on cost comparison exercisesAssist with providing accurate financial and quality compliance analysts prior to placing ordersResolve or make suggestions to any issues to Senior Quantity Surveyor based upon monthly reporting and CVR processFollow client reporting process and adherence to schedule of reportingWhat we are looking for in our ideal Assistant Quantity Surveyor:Previous experience on social housing planned and responsive contracts along with experience and knowledge of NHF Schedule of Work. Be confident with IT skills. Hold the relevant Qualification. Must be flexible in hours of work and travel.
