Job Description (URGENT)ROLE Press Brake Operator / Production Worker SALARY - 35,000 - 55,000 per annum (dependent on experience) TYPE Permanent LOCATION BasingstokeMy client operates within the manufacturing sector, delivering high-quality fabrication solutions. They are looking for a Press Brake Operator / Production Worker to join their Fabrication team in Basingstoke on a permanent basis.The Press Brake Operator / Production Worker will ideally have the following attributes:Have a strong background in metal press forming and basic fabricationHave at least 1 year of experience within a manufacturing environment (preferred)Have basic knowledge of hydraulic press brake and/or punch operations, including setupBe competent in basic dimensional measuring and willing to learn precision measurement toolsHave good understanding of shop mathematicsBe able to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsHave experience operating forklifts (required) and overhead cranes (preferred)Be flexible, responsive, and a strong team playerHave good verbal and written communication skillsBe motivated to learn new skills and improve technical knowledgeHave a strong focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvementBe able to work effectively in a fast-paced environmentThe Press Brake Operator / Production Worker role will involve:Setting up and operating hydraulic CNC press brakes and punches for routine workSelecting and installing correct tooling using setup documentation or supervisor guidancePerforming work to required time standards and quality expectationsLogging time and completed work using an online data collection systemSafely operating a forklift to move materials and finished productsAssisting other operators or departments as required in a cross-functional capacityTroubleshooting basic manufacturing issues and escalating where necessaryReporting and documenting material, production, and quality concernsMaintaining equipment logbooks and reporting faults to maintenance teamsParticipating in preventative maintenance activitiesAdhering to company policies, procedures, and safety standards at all timesWorking in an industrial environment using appropriate PPE (hearing, eye protection, hard hat, steel-toe boots, etc.)If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and salary expectations.
