Metal Finishing Technician Trainee

Roles And ResponsibilitiesWork in the MPBU Metal Finishing section with processes such as Chrome, Nickel, Cadmium, Silver, Tin, Copper, Phosphate, Heat Treatment, Non-Destructive Testing (Nital Etch), and other related processes. Perform daily electroplating tasks on components from various aircraft platforms, including processes like Cadmium, Nickel, Chrome, Silver, Tin, Copper, and Phosphate. Assist in monitoring and maintaining stock levels of chemicals and consumables. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly control checks. Maintain the required 5S standards. Ensure quality standards comply with EASA, FAA, and company procedures. Follow environmental, health, and safety regulations relevant to the plating bay in MPBU. Skills And CompetenciesMinimum GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English, numerate and literate. A positive attitude with a problem-solving mindset. Motivated and proactive. Effective communication skills with colleagues and external stakeholders. Ability to work effectively under pressure. Experience or relevant skills in the required machines/processes (internal training provided).
