The Nursery is located on Great Whyte, based in Cambridgeshire just 9 miles away from Huntingdon. Some benefits are discretionary and may be subject to change.nnRoom Leader duties and responsibilities :nnntProvide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of developmentntEnhance the all-around daily needs of children, including their physical, intellectual, social and emotional developmentntAssist staff in updating the EyLog system and their child learning journals with the highest qualityntPromote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistencyntAssist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staffntMaintain accurate records and accounts relating to children and staff on EyMan system and on filentEnsure the safety and wellbeing of every child, staff, parent and visitor at all timesntUnderstand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are metnnnRoom Leader requirement and skills:nnntFull and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - EssentialntOver 1 years experience working in Early Years - EssentialntOver 6 months experience working in a senior position - DesirablentSound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating - DesirablentKnowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - EssentialntFluent in written and spoken English - EssentialnnnWe are committed to safeguarding and protecting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
