Business Development Manager - BDM - Road Freight

A major UK & International freight forwarding organisation is looking for a business development manager - field sales to sell their road freight services only. To strengthen market position by locating, developing, defining, promoting, negotiating, and securing new business by closing the sale. Develop and maintain Road services to existing and potential clients ensuring a profitable return for the company.EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Proven commercial sales experience with a focus in international groupage services or UK domestic distribution. Must have some road freight sales experience, minimum one year. Excellent understanding of the international groupage market or UK domestic distribution. Strong business development skills alongside relationship building skills. Self-starter, able to think quickly, plan and act independently A result orientated, hardworking, self- starter who has a good understanding of the industry with strong closing skills.
