Permanent - Full Time 42.5 hours per weekApplying for this role is straight forward Scroll down and click on Apply to be considered for this position.Salary up to 92,000 per annum depending on experience plus car allowanceAbout the Role: As the General Manager and Head of Operations for our Joint Venture contract with A2Dominion, you will oversee the branch's overall performance and ensure the seamless execution of all operational activities. Leading a team of up to 200 staff members, you will drive strategic goals, manage daily operations, and cultivate a productive, engaged workforce. The role involves delivering repairs, voids, and planned works for a stock of 39,000 homes. Based at our co-located office in Ealing, the properties under this contract cover a broad geographical area, spanning the M4 corridor, Hampshire, and London.Key Responsibilities:Oversee and manage the delivery of repairs, voids, and planned works within a stock size of 39,000 homes.Collaborate with the service lead manager to align administrative and financial processes with operational goals and objectives.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Analyse data and provide insights and recommendations to support decision making.Foster a positive and collaborative working environment, promoting professional growth and development among team members.Lead and manage a team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities.Promote a high-performance culture, emphasizing accountability and continuous improvement.Ensure administrative processes are efficient, compliant, and supportive of operational objectives.Provide effective leadership, mentoring, and motivation within the Branch team, setting clear targets aligned with the Divisions strategy.Develop sustainable relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring high-quality customer engagement.Embed customer-centric practices in all activities to ensure efficient service delivery.Monitor and control Branch/Contract performance to meet or exceed budget, including regular reviews of costs, work in progress, debt, and KPIs.Maintain control over business governance, risk management, and adherence to delegated authorities, including resource planning for office staff and trades.You must have:Proven experience in the above duties.A minimum of 2 years managerial experience within the social housing sector, including local authorities and property services.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with effective communication and collaboration abilities.Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.Benefits we can offer you:25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.Annual Mears Fun Day.Volunteering Leave to support community engagement.Family-friendly policies.Note: Candidates must have UK work entitlement; no visa sponsorship available.To drive a Mears vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held a license for over 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points.All roles are subject to DBS/Security checks prior to employment.Apply below or contact Laura Bourne for further discussion.
