Test Technician

The CompanyMy client is a well-established electronics manufacturer looking for a Test Technician to join their growing test team.The RoleThis role involves the testing and investigation of production products using automatic test fixtures as part of cell manufacturing. Responsibilities include:Testing high-voltage power supplies to specification requirementsProviding hands-on support for manufacturing activities, including basic mechanical assembly, component installation, and general production assistanceCompleting test reports and documentation in line with customer requirements and the Quality Management System standardsUpgrading and modifying assemblies and finished productsInterpreting and implementing changes to assemblies and finished products through documentationIdentifying product quality and performance issues and raising appropriate non-conformancesLiaising with Design Engineering, Test Equipment Design, and Sales to support customer requirements and ensure product quality and performanceSupporting the Company’s ISO14001 Environmental Management System and ISO9001 Quality Management System, including contributing to improvement initiatives, identifying new ‘green’ opportunities, and suggesting ways the business can improveAdhering to the Company’s ISO9001 Quality, ISO14001 Environmental, and Health & Safety management systemsThe CandidateThe successful candidate will demonstrate:Ability to test products by following procedures accurately and meeting standard timesProficiency with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, digital power supplies, and multimetersExperience with test methodsSoldering and rework skills to IPC standardsPrevious experience working in a lean manufacturing environmentSalary: £25,000 – £27,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)We operate and advertise as an Employment Agency for permanent positions and as an Employment Business for contract/temporary positions.
