We have a fantastic opportunity for an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) Project Commercial Manager to join our Kier Mechanical and Electrical business delivering HMP Glasgow. Working within a dedicated MEP team overseeing the commercial team responsible for 180M + of packages across a major custodial facility.Remember to check your CV before applying Also, ensure you read through all the requirements related to this role.Location: HMP Glasgow, RoystonHours: Full Time, Permanent. Opportunity for some flexibility / hybrid workingWhat will you be responsible for?Your day to day mayinclude:Day to daymanagement of the MEP commercial team, empowering performance, acting asescalation point and taking a key role in managing the MEP sub contractor relationship in line withthe contract.Comply with the procurement strategy set out from the beginning of the project.Valuation and measuring of change, advising on legal and contractual matters on orders and changeValuation of project.Subcontractor administration including Agreeing Final Accounts., production of notices, such ascommencement and payment notices.Undertaking of monthly cost report,Commercial Plan internally and external Client Reports as required, production of records, such as progress reports.Undertaking project cashflows and turnover forecasts.Undertaking of Risk andOpportunity reporting and management.Producing margin improvement plans and driving margin into the project.Undertaking approvals ofMaterial Purchases, checking all commercial risks and opportunities havebeen considered.All commercial task and reports updated monthly.Induct others in company systems, assist in introduction of new tasks, systems, techniques to othersurveyors.What are we looking for?This role of MEP Project Commecial Manager is great for you if you can demonstrate the following:Qualified, at degree level or HND/HNC (or similar) in Quantity Surveying.Experience managing and mentoring commercial teams / staff overseeing MEP packagesExperienced surveyor with a variety of exposure to projectsClear understanding of all main forms of contract JCT, NEC etcSound technical understanding of MEPH services, components that make up individual systems and how packages are broken out and the interfaces associated with thisHigh level skillset in managing change effectively Full UK driving License.We're all about finding potential here at Kier, and transferrable skills are always welcome!
