Job DescriptionJMC Aviation are working with an MRO company based in Prestwick, looking to recruit a new Planning Engineer to join their team.This client is an international line and base maintenance provider, operating a comprehensive level of support for commercial aircraft operators. As an independent MRO, they are able to adapt their approach to respond to rapidly changing requirements and provide services which include component repairs, overhauls, piece part manufacture, aircraft fuel tank repairs, aircraft maintenance, aircraft interiors and AOG support.The companys culture of being a friendly, dynamic team with a professional work ethic of continually nurturing talent, means that their employees ongoing learning and development is taken seriously with training support to widen skills and knowledge. This is a Permanent Position based in Prestwick.Monday Thursday (8am 5pm) and Friday (8am 2:30pm).Salary and BenefitsCompetitive salary and allowances7% employer contribution to pension3x Life assurancePrivate healthcare and private dentalFree eye tests and vouchers towards glassesEmployee assistance programmeEmployee referral programmeTraining and development support to widen skills and knowledge240 hours annual leave per annum, increasing by 12 hours per years service up to max 300 hoursThe RoleThe primary purpose of this role is to shall generate and control aircraft maintenance work packages, ensuring regulatory compliance at all times.Other Duties InvolveGenerating and issuing comprehensive maintenance packages of work for production staff in accordance with the relevant regulatory airworthiness requirements and departmental proceduresProviding costings assistance to sales for hours review. Creating and maintaining master work cards/databases where required for specific projects, identify sub-contract requirements, spares and tooling.Liaising with internal departments as deemed necessary to provide clear and concise work instructionsAssisting the Engineering Support Manager with the daily operation of the planning departmentHaving commercial awareness of the impact that decisions can have to the customer and to the business as a wholeLiaising with Safety and Compliance to ensure compliance with procedures and audits.
