The role is set to commence in February 2026, with shortlisting currently underway.Staff work collaboratively to provide enriching opportunities both in and beyond the classroom, ensuring every pupil is encouraged to discover their strengths and strive for success.Key Skills and Attributes:Planning and delivering engaging Food Preparation and Nutrition lessons across KS3 and KS4Ensuring practical lessons are safe, well-organised, and compliant with health and safety regulationsTeaching pupils key skills in nutrition, food science, cooking techniques, and hygienePreparing pupils for KS4 assessments and GCSE Food Preparation and Nutrition requirementsMonitoring, assessing, and reporting on pupil progress in line with school policiesDeveloping differentiated resources to support students of varying abilitiesManaging the classroom environment, equipment, and ingredients efficientlyPromoting healthy eating, food sustainability, and safe kitchen practiceContributing to curriculum development within the Design & Technology xjdpvnf departmentParticipating in department meetings, CPD, and wider school initiativesPre-requisites:Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Food TechnologyProven UK secondary school teaching experience across KS3 and KS4Strong knowledge of Food Preparation and Nutrition curriculum requirementsUp-to-date training in food hygiene and health and safety procedures
