Residential Team Leader Childrens Residential HomeLocation: Kirkham, LancashireSalary: From 35,585 per year (including one sleep-in per week) + 85 per additional sleep-inHours: Full-time, 42 hours per week + sleep-insContract: PermanentOverviewRJS Resourcing are supporting a reputable childrens residential care provider in Kirkham, Lancashire, in the recruitment of a Residential Team Leader.This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced childcare professional looking to step into a key leadership position where they can help shape a stable, nurturing and supportive environment for young people.The RoleAs a Residential Team Leader, youll lead a small team in providing high-quality, trauma-informed care to young people. Youll take responsibility for shift management, staff supervision, and ensuring all aspects of daily care and compliance are delivered to the highest standards.Key Responsibilities:Lead and motivate the care team during shifts, ensuring consistency and professionalism.Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people at all times.Act as a key worker and contribute to individual care plans and reports.Support young people with routines, education, activities and appointments.Model positive behaviour management and de-escalation techniques.Conduct staff supervisions and contribute to team training and development.Maintain accurate records and support with audits and inspections.Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals.Participate in on-call and sleep-in duties as part of a rota.RequirementsLevel 3 Diploma in Children & Young Peoples Workforce or Health & Social Care (minimum).At least 2 years experience working with young people in a residential setting.Minimum 1 years experience in a senior or leadership role.Confident understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted and care regulations.Excellent communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills.Full UK driving licence required.Whats on OfferCompetitive salary starting at 35,585 per year (including one sleep per week).85 per additional sleep-in shift.Additional bonuses linked to Ofsted performance and long service.Enhanced DBS check paid for.5.6 weeks annual leave.Ongoing professional development, mentoring and clear progression opportunities.Supportive, values-driven organisation with a focus on positive outcomes for young people.If youre a dedicated childcare professional with leadership experience and a genuine passion for helping young people reach their potential, wed love to speak with you.JBRP1_UKTJ
