Job Description Sales Manager South of England & Wales - (Solid Board) PackagingCompany DescriptionPrestonpak, a division of Preston Board & Packaging Group, is based in Cumbernauld, Central Scotland. As the UK's only vertically integrated manufacturer and converter of solid board products, we focus on producing and supplying plain and wax-coated boxes for the Meat, Poultry, Fish, and Dairy markets. Committed to sustainability, our solutions offer a lower carbon footprint for customers. We also manufacture specialty products such as Slip Sheets for the whisky industry and transit sheets for the Salmon and Charcuterie sectors, serving clients across the UK and Irish markets.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time hybrid role located in Cumbernauld, with flexibility for some remote work. The Sales Manager - (Solid Board) Packaging will be responsible for driving sales and building strong client relationships within the solid board packaging sector. Their daily duties will include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients, creating and implementing strategic sales plans, and ensuring customer needs are met. Working closely with internal teams, the Sales Manager will also track market trends and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).Sales Representative (Solid Board) Packaging Location:UK Scotland, N.Ireland & North of EnglandHybrid role with time spent visiting customers & Prestonpak production facility.Business Area:Solid Board (Paperboard, Cardboard Board) Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and acquire new customers in relevant sectors (e.g. Meat, Poultry, Game, Fish , Fruit & Veg.)Understand customer needs and develop tailored packaging solutions Build trust-based relationships with decision-makers across procurement, marketing and operationsStay on top of market trends, customer demands and competitive movesAct as the local commercial face in the UK both on the road and online Report directly to Senior Management team in the UKQualificationsProven experience in sales, business development, or account management, particularly in the packaging or manufacturing industryStrong knowledge of sales strategies, client relationship management, and market researchExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skillsAbility to manage multiple accounts and prioritize time effectivelyProficiency in using CRM software and various sales-related toolsUnderstanding of solid board or packaging products is advantageousWillingness to travel within the UK and Ireland as neededSelf-motivated, result-oriented, and capable of working both independently and in a team environmentBachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferredWhat We OfferA greenfield opportunity with real entrepreneurial freedomFull support from experienced internal teams in product development and productionAttractive base salary and variable bonus schemeCompany car and travel expense reimbursementAccess to company pension schemeRemote-first working cultureLong-term growth perspective within one of the UKs largest privately owned packaging groups.
