The business has built an excellent reputation for quality, reliability and repeat business, specialising in schemes up to 10 million.Typical projects include:Heritage refurbishment schemesResidential new buildsEducation projectsHealthcare developmentsDue to a strong order book and continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Freelance Senior Quantity Surveyor for long-term contract work.The RoleAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will work closely with the Commercial Director and operational teams to ensure financial control and contractual compliance across a variety of project types.Key ResponsibilitiesFull commercial management of projects up to 10MContract administration under JCT forms of contractCost planning, procurement and subcontractor managementManaging valuations, variations and change controlRisk management and cost reportingPreparation and agreement of interim applications and final accountsClient and consultant liaisonRequirementsProven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor with a main contractorStrong working knowledge of JCT contracts (essential)Experience delivering projects up to 10MBackground across heritage, residential, education or healthcare schemes preferredStrong negotiation and commercial reporting skillsAvailable to start at short noticeWhats On OfferLong-term freelance opportunitySecure pipeline of regional projectsCompetitive day rateOpportunity to work with a highly regarded regional contractorIf you are an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor available at short notice and looking for a long-term freelance role in Preston, we would welcome your application.JBRP1_UKTJ
