Job Description Network Field Service EngineerWe are seeking a Network Field Service Engineer to join our on-site team delivering a Managed Service to one of our main clients sitein Preston. This is an operational, site-based role ensuring contractual SLAs are met, device failures are resolved promptly, and customer satisfaction is consistently achieved.Key ResponsibilitiesPhysical installation of switches and network equipmentConfiguration of switching infrastructure and Juniper Wireless Access PointsTroubleshooting and resolving wired network issues (with support from the wider team)Maintaining network availability through routine documentation and maintenance practicesReplacing faulty hardware components (switches, access points, peripherals) when requiredProviding professional updates to customers on incidents, problems, and changes via phone and emailMaintaining ITSM systems with high-quality work notesParticipating in an on-call rota to provide onsite support for P1 and P2 incidents, including hardware replacement where necessaryEngaging with third-party vendors to progress support calls and technical adviceEnsuring excellent standards of customer care at all timesKnowledge, Skills & AttributesEssential:Knowledge of Juniper switching and wirelessKnowledge of best practice LAN cablingSelf-starter with the ability to work independentlyStrong communication skills, able to explain technical issues clearly to different audiencesTeam player, flexible, resilient, and professionalCustomer-facing IT support experience in a fast-paced environmentEvidence of working effectively in a teamDesirable:Hands-on Juniper experienceNetwork security knowledgeExperience in network cabling installation and site surveyingWhat We OfferEnhanced holiday allowance 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays.Holiday Purchase Scheme option to buy up to 10 additional days each year.Enhanced Employer Pension Contributions 5% employer contribution.Private Medical Cover with BUPA.EV Salary Sacrifice Scheme.Enhanced Family-Friendly Policies.JBRP1_UKTJ
