Residential Team Leader Childrens Residential Home Location: Kirkham, Lancashire Salary: From 35,585 per year (including one sleep-in per week) + 85 per additional sleep-in Hours: Full-time, 42 hours per week + sleep-ins Contract: Permanent Overview RJS Resourcing are supporting a reputable childrens residential care provider in Kirkham, Lancashire, in the recruitment of a Residential Team Leader. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced childcare professional looking to step into a key leadership position where they can help shape a stable, nurturing and supportive environment for young people. The Role As a Residential Team Leader, youll lead a small team in providing high-quality, trauma-informed care to young people. Youll take responsibility for shift management, staff supervision, and ensuring all aspects of daily care and compliance are delivered to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Lead and motivate the care team during shifts, ensuring consistency and professionalism. Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people at all times. Act as a key worker and contribute to individual care plans and reports. Support young people with routines, education, activities and appointments. Model positive behaviour management and de-escalation techniques. Conduct staff supervisions and contribute to team training and development. Maintain accurate records and support with audits and inspections. Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and external professionals. Participate in on-call and sleep-in duties as part of a rota. Requirements Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young Peoples Workforce or Health & Social Care (minimum). At least 2 years experience working with young people in a residential setting. Minimum 1 years experience in a senior or leadership role. Confident understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted and care regulations. Excellent communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills. Full UK driving licence required.
