Job DescriptionAre you an experienced Health & Safety professional with a strong background in construction? Hays Health & Safety are working with a well-established contractor in the Preston area who is seeking a proactive and confident Health & Safety Advisor to join their team.The RoleThis is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can hit the ground running and is passionate about maintaining and promoting a positive safety culture across multiple construction sites. You'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, conducting site inspections, and supporting operational teams with best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct regular site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with H&S regulationsProvide advice and guidance to site teams on all aspects of health and safetyAssist in the development and implementation of risk assessments and method statementsInvestigate incidents and near-misses, producing detailed reports and recommendationsSupport the delivery of toolbox talks and safety briefingsPromote a culture of continuous improvement in health and safety performanceCandidate RequirementsProven experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction industryValid CSCS cardNEBOSH General or Construction CertificateStrong working knowledge of CDM Regulations and site safety practicesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and manage multiple sites35,000 is on offer for the right candidate with the opportunity for funded professional development.Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
