Development Officer

Job Description We are proud to be partnering with a Lancashire based Housing Association, who are looking to appoint a Housing Development Officer on a permanent basis.This will be a full-time position based in Lancashire, with hybrid working (2/3 days home working dependent on the demands of the week) and a salary of 42k per annum plus an extensive list of benefits.The ideal candidate will have experience working in the new build sector, ideally within a Housing Association.Duties will include (but are not limited to): Supporting various new build schemes from acquisition through to post scheme evaluationReceiving regular updates from contractors and consultants and provide these to the wider development teamProviding regular updates on planning, budgets, grant claims and legal matters to inform the progress of projectsManaging and monitoring costsWorking closely with the wider team to ensure effective handover of projectsEnsuring all Homes England grant funding requirements are metUndertaking contract administration, ensuring works of contractors are in line with pre-agreed termsCompleting site investigationsExperience required:Experience in new build development, ideally within housingExperience in pre-contract developmentSkills, knowledge and expertise required:HNC or equivalentRewards and Benefits:25 days annual leave, rising to 31 based on length of serviceUp top 8% pension contribution50/50 hybrid working splitWorking hours:37 hours per week Monday Friday, 9am-5pm, flexibility on start and finish times as neededPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
