Job Description Operations ManagerLocation: LancashireIndustry: Metal RecyclingJob Type: Full Time, PermanentOur client, a UK-leading independent metal recycling business, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to take ownership of daily yard operations and lead a team of 10. This is a hands-on management role focused on operational flow, workforce coordination, safety, and smooth communication across the site.Key Responsibilities:Overseeing and managing a team of 10 within a busy yard environmentActing as the central point of communication between the yard, transport team, management, and H&SPlanning and coordinating material movement in and out of the yardMonitoring weekly throughput (currently 300400 tonnes per week)Ensuring all prepared materials are accurately recorded Driving efficiencies, productivity, and safe working practicesMaintaining high standards of environmental and health & safety complianceSupporting with FLT and grab operations when requiredRequirements:Previous experience working within a yard environmentProven experience managing or supervising a teamStrong planning and communication skills Keen awareness of health & safety and the ability to ensure full complianceFLT or grab experience beneficialPackage Details:Salary: 40,000-50,000 depending on level of experience22 days annual leave + bank holidays + Christmas shutdownMonday to Thursday: 08:0017:00 / Friday: 08:0015:30Permanent, full-time role within a respected name in the industry.To Contact Direct:Daniel BarnettSenior Executive Consultant0151 209 [email protected] Aspion, our core values have been built around the importance of transparency, innovation, passion and collaboration.
