Job Description Company DescriptionHutchinsons is a family-owned construction company in its fourth generation. We carry out mainly refurbishment contracts for councils / NHS / and private clients. We also do new builds of housing and commercial property on a small scale.Role DescriptionWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor for a full-time, on-site role based in Potton. The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing costs throughout the project lifecycle, preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and ensuring project budgets are adhered to. Key responsibilities include cost analysis, cost planning, preparing financial reports, monitoring project expenditures, and liaising with clients, contractors, and other professionals to ensure smooth project execution.QualificationsExpertise in Cost Management, including cost planning, cost control, and cost reportingProficiency in preparing and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ)Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to cost analysis and financial forecastsGood communication and negotiation skills with experience dealing with clients, contractors, and project teamsA degree in Quantity Surveying or a related fieldMembership of a professional body such as RICS or relevant qualifications is preferredProficient in construction-related software and toolsAbility to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlinesSalary: TBC experience-related.Company car ( Electric)Apply initially by email to:[email protected]
