Job title: CNC TurnerJob Location: PortsmouthJob Duration: PermanentSummary:Our Client is seeking a talented individual to join their team in Portsmouth, manufacturing high-precision components for the defence industry.Roles and Responsibility:As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for operating and running CNC milling machines, working with Fanuc controls. Your key duties will include:Reading and interpreting geometric drawings to produce components to tight tolerancesMaintaining safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulationsCompleting production and quality logs to document actionsSetting up CNC lathes to perform various tasks and operationsProgramming CNC lathe machines at the machine levelThe Ideal CNC Turner:Experience operating CNC lathes and milling machinesAbility to read and use measuring instrumentsStrong communication skills and attention to detailFamiliarity with CNC programming and machine setupAbility to perform simple tasks on other machine shop equipmentNote:The role is for day shift, with hours of 7am to 4:30pm, Monday to Thursday.
