Salary up to 65,000 + 6,000 car allowance An established and reputable loss adjusting practice is seeking an experienced Property Loss Adjuster to join its Reading based team. The role involves managing a portfolio of domestic and light commercial property claims from instruction through to settlement. The successful candidate will be responsible for site inspections, policy interpretation, liability and quantum assessment, stakeholder management, and the production of clear and accurate reports for insurer clients. The position offers a high level of autonomy, supported by strong technical leadership and structured internal support, enabling adjusters to focus on delivering quality outcomes rather than volume-driven handling.Key responsibilities:Management of property claims on a cradle-to-grave basisConducting site visits and damage assessmentsPolicy coverage analysis and reserve settingNegotiation and settlement of claims within authorityLiaison with insurers, policyholders, contractors, and legal representativesProduction of technical reports in line with service level agreementsExperience and skills required:Previous experience working as a Property Loss AdjusterStrong knowledge of domestic property claims; commercial property experience advantageousExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility xjdpvnf to work independently across Reading and the surrounding areasRelevant professional qualifications (or progress towards) desirablePackage:Salary up to 65,000 dependent on experience6,000 car allowanceCompetitive benefits packageClear progression and professional development opportunitiesThis is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and well-regarded adjusting firm with a long-term view on growth and quality.
