Senior Quantity Surveyor

Job Description Senior Quantity SurveyorWe have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established main contractor based in Southampton. The business has been operating for over a century, with several offices across the country. They undertake projects across several sectors which include education, commercial, light industrial and healthcare typically valuing up to 20mil. Projects are typically administered via JCT forms of contract. As a result of a recent project win in the region, they're now looking to expand the commercial team with an additional Senior Quantity Surveyor. About the role of Senior Quantity Surveyor: As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be required to manage an upcoming scheme valuing up to 15mil, with the support of an Assistant Quantity Surveyor. You will be responsible for the project from Estimator handover to completion. Key Responsibilities as Senior Quantity Surveyor: Work alongside pre-construction team on any 2-stage tenderingOversee the teams procurement / management of sub-contractor packagesDeal with final accounts / any dispute resolution that may ariseLiaise with the clients teams Mentor junior members of the Surveying team and be involved in their professional developmentKey Requirements for this Senior Quantity Surveyor position: Hold a BSc Quantity Surveying or HNCHave experience managing projects from pre-construction through to final account Be proficient in administering various forms of contract including JCT and NECMust live in a commutable location to Poole and be happy to visit office and site as requiredWhats on offer for this Senior Quantity Surveyor position: Salary: Up to 75k Company Car / Car AllowanceOpportunity for progression within a growing business Diverse project pipelineThis is an exciting time to join a long-established business with ambitious growth plans and a secure forward order book.
