This is an office-based role with the opportunity to take on some Quantity Surveying responsibilities. You will play a key part in pricing projects accurately, managing costs, and supporting the commercial success of a range of residential and commercial construction projects.Key responsibilitiesPrepare detailed cost estimates and tenders from drawings, specifications, and bills of quantitiesMeasure quantities and assist in preparing bills of quantitiesObtain, analyse, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotationsIdentify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving optionsSupport cost control throughout the project lifecycleAssist with valuations, variations, and final accounts (QS duties)Work closely with project managers, site teams, and directorsMaintain and develop relationships with clients and supply chain partnersAbout youPrevious experience as a Construction Estimator (experience in Quantity Surveying a strong advantage)Background within small to medium sized construction or contracting environment preferredStrong knowledge of UK construction methods, materials, and regulationsProficient in take-offs, measurement, and pricing using industry software/ExcelExcellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesConfident communicator with a collaborative approachWhat we offerCompetitive salary dependent on experienceOpportunity to develop Quantity Surveying skills alongside estimatingSupportive team environment within a growing companyVaried workload across interesting local projectsOffice-based role in Portsmouth with occasional site visitsHow to apply If you feel this role is right for you, please send your CV and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience.JBRP1_UKTJ
