Senior Quantity Surveyor Civil Engineering & Infrastructure South East England | 65,000 85,000 + package (DOE) A leading regional civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. With a turnover exceeding 60 million , this privately owned firm delivers complex infrastructure, groundworks, and coastal defence schemes across Kent, Sussex, and the wider South East. Known for its collaborative culture and technical excellence, the business is expanding its commercial function to support a growing pipeline of secured work. Key Responsibilities: Lead commercial delivery across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with company procedures and client expectations Develop and maintain strong working relationships with site teams, clients, and subcontractors Monitor risk, budgets, and performance standards to ensure profitable outcomes Procure subcontract packages competitively, negotiating favourable terms wherever possible Interpret contract documents and advise project teams on scope, obligations, and commercial strategy Prepare and submit timely applications for payment, variations, and final accounts Recover retentions and maximise value through proactive cost management and forecasting Support junior team members and deputise for the Managing QS when required Contribute to departmental improvements and commercial report About You: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, groundworks, or infrastructure Strong contractual knowledge (NEC, JCT, bespoke forms) and commercial acumen Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management Whats on Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package Clear progression pathway within a growing commercial team Opportunity to work on technically challenging and high-profile schemes Supportive, non-corporate environment with direct access to senior leadership TPBN1_UKTJ
