Systems Engineer (SC Cleared) Location: Portsmouth (On-site) Rate: 55 per hour Contract Length: 6 months (likely extension/conversion) Security Clearance: SC Clearance required - British Eyes Only Overview An established UK engineering organisation is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support current and upcoming programmes within a secure environment. This role sits within a highly technical systems engineering function and offers the opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical projects. There is potential for the role to transition into a permanent position. Key Responsibilities Support systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle. Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles to complex systems. Contribute to enterprise architecture and system-level design decisions. Work with stakeholders to ensure system requirements are clearly defined and met. Provide 'big picture' systems view across integrated platforms. Support current workload and future programme demands. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Systems Engineer in a regulated or defence environment Strong working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Experience with Enterprise Architecture approaches (preferred) Good understanding of MILSATCOM infrastructure and architecture Ability to work effectively within secure, classified programmes.
