Job Description Estimator GroundworksPortsmouth, HampshireSalary up to 75,000 + Car Allowance + 25 Days Holiday + PensionBlaymires Recruitment is working with a specialist Civil Engineering contractor based in Portsmouth who is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their growing team.The company operates as both a principal and specialist contractor, delivering a wide range of Civil Engineering and Groundworks projects across the commercial and residential sectors, with project values typically up to 3 million.Typical projects include:Groundworks, Pile Foundations, Reinforced Concrete, Brick and Block Works, Diamond Drilling, Car Parks.Due to continued growth, the company is looking to appoint a skilled Estimator. Applications are welcomed from both Estimators and Estimator / Quantity Surveyors with a strong Groundworks or Civil Engineering background.Key ResponsibilitiesProducing and completing tenders, primarily within the residential sectorForecasting costs for plant, labour, and materialsPreparing accurate and competitive cost estimatesAttending pre-tender and client meetingsSupporting and mentoring junior team membersWorking closely with the Estimating DirectorAssisting with the development of new and existing client relationshipsExperience RequiredMinimum 5 years experience as a Groundworks Estimator within a contractor environmentStrong background in pricing Groundworks or Civil Engineering projectsExperience working on projects up to 5 millionProficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)Educated to HNC level or equivalentStrong IT and analytical skillsOn OfferCompetitive salary up to 75,000Car AllowancePension Scheme25 Days HolidayProfessional and supportive working environmentOngoing training and developmentGenuine career progression opportunitiesFree parkingFor further information, please contact Steve at Blaymires Recruitment.JBRP1_UKTJ
