Job Description Job Title: Production TechnicianLocation: Osprey Quay, Portland (Site-Based)Contract: Fixed Term 6 MonthsCompany: G3 SystemsAbout the RoleG3 Systems is seeking a proactive and skilled Production Technician to join our team at our Osprey Quay, Portland site on a 6-month fixed-term contract.This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production and engineering environment, supporting the delivery of high-quality integrated systems. The successful candidate will work closely with the Production Manager and wider team to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements are consistently met.Key ResponsibilitiesComplete production tasks as directed by the Production ManagerIdentify materials required to successfully achieve production tasksMonitor build quality and report production snags in accordance with company processesAssist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiencyComply with Integrated Management System (IMS) operating proceduresMaintain accurate project route cards during productionConduct local Health & Safety risk assessmentsWork safely at all times, ensuring the safety of self and othersMaintain a tidy and organised work area as part of daily activitiesEnsure the safe use, storage, and handling of COSHH-controlled itemsMaintain tooling and integration facility equipmentTravel within the UK and overseas as required on company businessCarry out other tasks within your ability and competence as directedQualificationsRelevant trade qualification with appropriate experienceCity & Guilds Part 1 & 2 (or equivalent) preferredSkills & ExperiencePrevious experience within a production or engineering environmentAbility to read and interpret technical drawingsCompetent in the use of hand, mains-powered, and battery-operated toolsAbility to follow instructions clearly and work safelyBasic IT skillWhat We Offer:Opportunity to work on high-profile international defence and government projectsA collaborative and technically driven working environmentCompetitive salary 25 days annual leave (pro rata)37.5 hours working weekLife Cover (3.5x salary) during assignmentPension Plan
