Job Description Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Contract OpportunityLocation: Port Talbot, WalesRate: 40 per hour (Inside IR35)We are currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a site in Port Talbot on a contract basis.Key Details: Rate: 30 per hour Status: Inside IR35 Location: Port Talbot, WalesResponsibilities: Carry out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance on production and packaging machinery Diagnose faults and implement effective repairs to minimise downtime Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives across the site Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure safe and efficient operations Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentationRequirements: Proven experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer within manufacturing, FMCG, or packaging environments Strong fault-finding and mechanical repair skills Experience with conveyors, packaging lines, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, and pneumatic systems Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment Relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeshipIf you are interested please message me directly or send your CV to discuss the role further.
