CNC Machinist

We are seeking an experienced Sliding Head CNC Machinist to join a busy machine shop facility in Bournemouth for a company who are a lead manufacturer of electric motors.Do not pass up this chance, apply quickly if your experience and skills match what is in the following description.You will be responsible for programming, setting and operating sliding head CNC lathes to manufacture high-quality, close-tolerance precision components efficiently and safely.Key Responsibilities for the CNC machinist role in BournemouthCNC ProgrammingProgram sliding head CNC lathes using G-code and/or offline CAM softwareOptimise cycle times, tooling efficiency and machining performanceModify and improve existing programs to resolve issuesSetting & OperationSet and prove out sliding head CNC machines (Citizen, Tornos or similar)Select and set cutting tools, guide bushes and workholdingManufacture components to engineering drawings and tight tolerancesMonitor performance and adjust offsets as requiredQuality & ComplianceInspect components using micrometers, verniers and gaugesEnsure parts meet tolerance and surface finish requirementsMaintain high Health & Safety standards and regulatory complianceRequirements for the position of CNC machinist in BournemouthProven experience as a Sliding Head CNC Programmer / xjdpvnf Setter / OperatorStrong G-code knowledgeExperience with Citizen, Tornos or similar sliding head lathesAbility to read and interpret engineering drawingsExperience producing precision, close-tolerance componentsIf you feel you'd like to find out more information about this opportunity please send over an updated cv to or call Please note this role will accept visas but will not sponsor at this instance.
