Job Description Here at Bournemouth & Poole College, we are pleased to offer two opportunities: one full-time role and one part-time role, together totalling 1.3 FTE. for a Lecturer in Foundation Learning. In return you will receive a competitive salary of 30,000-40,374 per annum, pro rata.The Lecturer in Foundation Learning Role:As our Lecturer in Foundation Learning, you will deliver high-quality and effective teaching, learning and assessment to students across Foundation and Progression.You will work with students studying our Progression and SEND programmes from Pre-Entry to Level 2.Responsibilities as our Lecturer in Foundation Learning will include:Contribute to the development and delivery of a range of educational programmes, including identifying learning objectives; determining, designing and producing study material; planning course/study programme delivery.Contribute to high-quality learning experiences using a variety of teaching and learning methods in the classroom.Ensure that teaching is based on current best available practice and is consistent with a high standard of practice.Provide academic and pastoral support to students in accordance with agreed procedures.Create an outstanding student experience which leads to progression or employment.Manage student issues within agreed protocols.Undertake such other reasonable duties as the line manager may require from time to time and review this Job Description annually with the line manager.Participate in the College's appraisal process and undertake any training that may be appropriateTake appropriate responsibility to ensure the health and safety of self and othersPursue the achievement and integration of equal opportunities throughout all The College's activitiesAs our Lecturer in Foundation Learning, you'll ideally have:Level 3 qualification as a minimumEnglish and Maths (or equivalent)Qualified TeacherProven track record of success in supporting young peopleExperience of working with young people with social, emotional, and mental health differencesWork experience in an FE setting, i.e. college or schoolProven track record of success in supporting young peopleAbility to work with young people, parents/carers and colleagues, as appropriateCompetent in Microsoft Office applicationsKnowledge of post-16 education and trainingThe effective use of information and learning technologies in the classroom Safeguarding Children and Young People and Vulnerable AdultsEvidence of continuous professional developmentBenefits you will receive:As a member of the teaching team at Bournemouth & Poole College, you can expect to receive a market rate salary and excellent benefits including:39.5 days annual leave plus bank holidaysup to 4 days leave during the Christmas closure periodAccess to Discount Schemes at multiple retailersEnrolment into the Teachers' Pension SchemeExcellent support and career development with the help of our Teaching and Learning Coaches and Quality departmentIf you feel you are the right candidate for this Lecturer in Foundation Learning role, then please click apply' now!Closing date: 19 February 2026About Us:At Bournemouth & Poole College, we're passionate about transforming lives through education.
