Production Planner

Job DescriptionProduction PlannerWere looking for an experienced, self-driven and logical Production Planner to join our dynamic fast-growing brand. This is a position reporting to the Planning Manager working within the Operations function of the business.About the roleWe are looking for a dedicated Production Planner to ensure the smooth process of production across our multiple 3rd party production & filler sites.Key responsibilitiesContinually develop both a short & long term production plan based on demand/MRP/Promo activityManage creation of works orders and carry out all production admin tasks including working closely with the Warehouse to ensure all componentry arrives with filling partners on time for productionAlways striving to improve efficiency where possible, planning items to run on their respective lines in a timely manner to achieve the best cost possible at the optimum quantitiesCommunicating any delays/issues within QC/NPI etc with the whole teamProduce any reporting that senior members of the team may requireTroubleshooting/problem solvingHousekeeping within SAP, keeping up to date with all production order due dates, closing down old work orders, transfer, purchase orders etc.Keep up good relations with suppliers and filling partners, having regular meetings to keep conversation/information freely flowingSourcing additional fillers, getting quotes, samples, and occasionally running trial productionsLiaising with filling partners on any efficiency/product improvements that we want to implement.Checking, approving or querying any related invoicesAdditional administrative tasks as per required.What were looking forProven working experience of production planningA high level of Excel knowledge with the ability to analyse and manipulate data and an attention to detailStrong listening, presentation, and decision-making skillsStrong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all teams, areas and levels of the business affecting the production processCommercial acumen Knowledge of end to end supply chain practices advantageousInventory managementMathematical skillsOrganisational skillsWhat we can offerCompetitive Salary33 days holiday, inclusive of UK bank holidaysEarly finish on a Fridays & Summer HoursExcellent staff discount on Muc-Off productsMedicashChill out areas, showers and a secure area to store your bikePension contributionsAn awesome opportunity to work with a local and widely recognised BrandA cool, casual and fully branded-up working environment where staff indulge their passions for cycling and fitnessBrilliant social events
