HGV Class 1 Driver - Nights

In this role, youll be responsible for the safe and efficient transport of goods while delivering a high standard of service to our clients. The position may involve long-haul or regional routes, including occasional overnight stays depending on scheduling. Salary: 40,000 per year Shift pattern: 4 on, 4 off 12-hour shifts Key Responsibilities: Operate a Class 1 commercial vehicle safely and professionally Transport goods to and from designated locations on schedule Carry out pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle and equipment checks Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and inspection documentation Load and unload freight when required Follow all traffic laws, safety standards, and company policies Communicate clearly with dispatch teams and customers Ensure cargo is secured correctly and report any issues promptly Perform minor maintenance checks and report vehicle defect Requirements: Valid Class 1 Drivers Licence with a clean driving record Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience (preferred, but new passes considered) Ability to operate a range of trailer types Strong focus on safety and attention to detail Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines Physically able to lift and handle cargo when required What We Offer: Competitive pay with overtime and bonus opportunities Modern, well-maintained fleet Consistent routes and steady work Supportive team environment with a safety-first approach The Company At Uniserve we do amazing things.
