HGV Class 1 Day Driver

We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.Shifts: Saturday and Sunday DaysHours: 11am start (8-10 hour shift)Pay Rate:14.80 per hour PAYELocation:Plymouth, PL6Job Type: Ongoing with opportunity to get permanent for the right candidate.The role: Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to and from sub depots and delivery units. Handling runs with 1-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork. Utilise tail lift and pump truck equipment for loading and unloading. Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner. Empty the vehicle and refuel at the end of each shift. Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful.Requirements: Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E). Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only). Full understanding of WTD legislation. Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment. Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position. Excellent communication skills.
