We are looking for Class 1 Welders to join our team at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth.Apply (by clicking the relevant button) after checking through all the related job information below.This is an great opportunity to work on exciting engineering projects including warships and submarines.Job Description:- Working on ships, submarines or within a factory environment- Competent within some or all of the following- FCAW, MMA, MIG or TIGEssential experience:- You will need the ability to read engineering drawings, to interpret work instructions and be competent in the use of general workshop tools & machinery specific to welding.- Ideally, you will have worked in the marine engineering industry with experience of Royal Navy ships and submarines, Royal Fleet Auxiliary vessels or large commercial ships - although other relevant experience from other engineering sectors will be considered.Qualifications:- Level 3 Engineering qualifications relevant to the role- Level 3 Modern Apprenticeship- Indentured Apprenticeship relevant to the role- Time served apprentice within the field of marine engineering / naval engineering environmentIR35: InsideDuration: 26 weeks initiallySC Clearance is required for this role. xjdpvnf Standard hourly pay 22.76 (PAYE) up to 35.63 for overtime (Umbrella)Please apply by sending your most up-to-date CV and relevant qualification certificates.
