Morson Talent is currently recruiting for experienced Painters, Sprayers or Blasters, with Train The Painter or ICATs Qualification, to support ongoing projects at Devonport Dockyard in Plymouth - one of the UK's most historic naval dockyards.Find out more about this role by reading the information below, then apply to be considered.Join a skilled, experienced team where safety, precision, and quality are key. If you meet the requirements and are looking for your next opportunity - we'd love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities:Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.Carry out your role in accordance with policies and applicable laws.Predominantly blasting warships and submarines in preparation for painting teams to complete their services (Some painting may be required, please see rates below).Undertake all forms of preparation including hand and mechanical and also be aware of the fundamentals of blasting to assist with the blast set up if required.Have a thorough insight into methods of surface treatment and application of protective coatings.Follow site instructions in relation to painter and blaster requirements to meet H&S regulations.Safely be able to access plant and equipment, including scaffold and mobile platforms.Have knowledge of coating types i.e. all types of paint from single to two pack, holding primers to high build.Have knowledge of application types i.e. all forms of paint application including brushing, rolling and also have an awareness of spray fundamentals in order to assist in set up if required.In relation to quality control, understand the reasoning behind quality control and the ways in which we take readings (wet/dry film thickness, environmental readings)Required Experience & Skills:- Minimum 1 year experience in a heavy industry environment.- Be able to work in confined spaces within a submarine environment.- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.- Ability to follow instructions and adapt to changing work demands.- Positive team contributor with a collaborative approach.- Honest, open, and professional attitude.Qualifications & Training:Essential:- Train the Painter Bronze/Silver/Gold OR- ICATsPay RatesBronzePAYE - Basic:17.00,OT1:22.10,OT2:27.20UMBRELLA PAYE - Basic:22.29,OT1:29.48,OT2:36.28SilverPAYE - Basic:17.50,OT1:22.75,OT2:28.00UMBRELLA PAYE - Basic:22.90,OT1:29.88,OT2:36.86GoldPAYE - Basic:18.00,OT1:23.40,OT2:28.80UMBRELLA PAYE - Basic:23.56,OT1:30.74,OT2:37.92BlasterPAYE - Basic:22.00,OT1:28.60,OT2:32.20UMBRELLA PAYE - Basic:28.88,OT1:36.87,OT2:45.38Taxable lodge allowance for travelling workers:PAYE- 50.65 per dayUMBRELLA PAYE -65.84 per dayWork Arrangements38 standard hours a week, 07:30 - 16:00 Monday to Friday, regular overtime available during week and weekends.29 days holiday annually (inclusive of bank holidays)The successful candidate will need to achieve SC security clearance in order to fulfil this role.This role is InsideIR35Long term work available.TPBN1_UKTJ
