Were recruiting on behalf of a leading UK transport operator for a hands-on Workshop Supervisor to oversee a busy engineering team within their bus garage.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic workshop, enjoys problem-solving, and can balance technical responsibilities with team leadership.Key Responsibilities of the HGV Workshop Supervisor Lead, support, and motivate a team of HGV/PSV Technicians and Fitters within the workshop.Carry out hands-on maintenance, servicing, and repair of HGVs/PSVs as required.Ensure all vehicles are maintained to DVSA standards and operators licence requirements.Allocate workloads, monitor productivity, and support technicians with technical queries.Oversee defect management, vehicle diagnostics, and repair quality checks.Maintain accurate workshop records and ensure compliance with safety procedures.Liaise with engineering management regarding fleet performance and maintenance planning.Support the implementation of continuous improvement across the workshop.Required Qualifications & Experience of the Workshop Supervisor NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.Proven experience as an HGV/PSV Technician, preferably with exposure to supervisory or shift-leading duties.Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to carry out mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic repairs.In-depth knowledge of workshop safety, DVSA standards, and fleet maintenance processes.Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-moving depot environment.Full UK Driving Licence essential; PCV licence desirable (training may be provided).If you are interested in the role of HGV Workshop Supervisor, then please apply today or call Dudley on 07485 390942JBRP1_UKTJ
