Job Description PurposeThe HR Business Partner provides practical, commercially aware HR support across both strategic and operational areas. The role supports the HRD in turning people plans into clear, actionable activity while ensuring the smooth, effective delivery of day-to-day HR operations.Acting as a trusted and reliable advisor to managers and leaders, the HRBP balances longer-term people planning, with HR delivery to help maintain a compliant, engaged and high-performing workforce.You will bePartnering with leaders to help shape people strategies aligned with our business objectivesA visible, hands-on HRBP who supports day-to-day operational delivery while balancing complex people mattersConfident operating across admin-heavy operational tasks and strategic project workSkilled in coaching and mentoring, with a collaborative approach to helping people develop An effective influencer with strong communication, networking and relationship-building abilitiesA pragmatic problem-solver who combines commercial insight with sound HR practiceRole responsibilitiesSupporting the HRD in partnering with managers and senior leaders to develop and execute people strategies that support our business performance: absence improvement, development pathways, talent retention and recruitmentCollaborating with our outsourced HR partner to provide expert, practical guidance on employee relations and signposting managers to this service where relevantMaintaining awareness and knowledge of UK employment legislation to minimise and mitigate organisational risk and supporting the HRD with policy updates and complianceSupporting and overseeing operational HR delivery, ensuring consistent and effective implementation and application of people policies and proceduresAnalysing people data to identify trends and recommend both strategic interventions and immediate operational actionsCoaching and mentoring line managers to build capability and accountability in people managementWorking with the HR Administrator to oversee people processes such as recruitment, onboarding, probation, etcThe ideal candidate will bringProven experience in a generalist HR or Business Partner role, ideally in a small to mid-size UK-based organisation. German, Swiss or US experience is desirable but not essentialA strong ability to comfortably operate in a blended strategic and admin-heavy operational HR roleExcellent multi-tasking skills with a superior ability to manage conflicting prioritiesStrong working knowledge of UK employment legislation and practical application of it in complex scenariosA track record of managing high-risk and sensitive employee relations mattersStrong stakeholder management, influencing and coaching skills
