Project Engineer - Manufacturing (Temporary Project Role)

Job Description We are supporting a major manufacturing site with the appointment of an experienced Project Engineer to support the delivery of capital equipment and process integration projects across production operations.This role plays a key part in the end-to-end implementation of new equipment, from FAT and SAT through installation, validation, commissioning, and ramp-up - ensuring a seamless transition into live manufacturing with minimal disruption.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport capital deployment projects, including breakthrough, capacity, and replacement programmesParticipate in FAT, SAT, validation, commissioning, and vertical start-up activitiesPrepare installation plans, test plans, and validation documentationLead equipment integration into existing manufacturing processesEnsure EHS compliance (LOTO, guarding, controls, standards)Support training plans, competence assessments, and documentation handoverProvide technical support during ramp-up to achieve OEE and performance targetsDiagnose and resolve integration issues with engineering teams and vendorsCoordinate handover to operations, maintenance, and quality teamsDrive continuous improvement and reliability initiativesSkills & ExperienceProven experience as a Project Engineer within a manufacturing environmentStrong exposure to equipment installation, validation, and commissioningExperience working with cross-functional teams and external vendorsKnowledge of EHS standards and manufacturing best practicesAbility to manage multiple workstreams in a live production environmentStrong documentation and stakeholder communication skillsContract InformationThis is a temporary project role, initially expected to run for 2 years.
