Job Description Role OverviewThis Finance Business Partner role supports senior operational leaders across manufacturing sites, providing commercial insight and financial leadership to help deliver operational and financial targets. Working closely with Operations, the role focuses on analysing performance, improving decision-making, and proactively driving efficiencies and value creation.The position plays a key role within the site leadership team, partnering with stakeholders across the business to improve financial control, forecasting accuracy, and operational performance.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a finance business partner to Operations across multiple sites, ensuring clear understanding and ownership of all aspects of the profit and loss accountWork closely with operational teams to develop, manage and control budgets, forecasts and manufacturing plansMonitor performance against plans using robust variance analysis and provide actionable insightSupport the preparation of month-end close and management accountsContribute to the development of financial plans that deliver cost savings and improved value for moneyUse data and modern reporting tools, including Power BI, to produce dashboards, reports and analysis identifying trends, risks and opportunitiesProactively identify and drive process and performance improvementsDeliver ad-hoc project work as requiredEnsure financial processes and controls are followed consistently and with integrityOperate as a key member of the site management team, providing commercial challenge and supportDemonstrate strong commercial awareness of products, customers, markets and manufacturing processesRepresent finance professionally across the business and promote best practiceUndertake other reasonable duties appropriate to the roleKey Performance IndicatorsTimely and accurate production of monthly operational management informationContribution to the achievement of site financial performance targetsKey Stakeholder InterfacesOperations Directors and ManagersSales and Commercial teamsProduct DevelopmentPurchasing and Supply ChainLogistics and DistributionCandidate ProfileProfessionally qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or qualified by experienceEssential experience within a manufacturing environmentStrong working knowledge of Power BI, including dashboard and visual creationProactive, self-motivated and confident in influencing stakeholders at all levelsCollaborative team player with the ability to lead or support cross-functional initiativesStrong analytical skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholdersHigh attention to detail and accuracyResilient, enthusiastic and commercially mindedWell-organised with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentAdvanced IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applicationsIf you are interested or have the relevant experience and are currently looking for a new challenge then please submit an up to date CV by clicking the apply button.
