Youll play a key role in bringing complex mechanical systems back to life, from strip-down and rebuild through to testing and pre-delivery quality checks.Its a hands-on, workshop-based role, ideal for someone who takes pride in precision engineering and wants to work within a supportive, well-structured environment.Job ResponsibilitiesDisassemble, refurbish, and reassemble mechanical and electro-mechanical equipment to engineering drawings and specificationsCarry out diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and componentsBuild, align, and test machines as part of workshop projects, ensuring the highest quality standardsSupport the full life cycle of machinery refurbishment from inspection to commissioningPerform mechanical testing, fault-finding, and pre-delivery verificationMaintain an organised, safe, and efficient workspace at all timesSkills and ExperienceTime-served Mechanical Fitter or completed an engineering apprenticeship (or equivalent experience)Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs)Strong practical knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumaticsConfident using hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and lifting gearExcellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanshipAble to work independently and collaboratively within a small, skilled engineering teamPay and BenefitsPay Rate: 19.97 per hourContract: Long-term temporary (68 months) with genuine opportunity to go permanentHours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am4:00pm, Friday 7:30am12:30pmBenefits: Overtime availableThis Mechanical Fitter role offers the best of both worlds, the stability of a long-term contract with the potential to become a permanent fixture in a globally recognised engineering business.If youre ready to put your mechanical fitting expertise to work on precision machinery and take the next step in your career, apply now and dont miss out on this opportunity.JBRP1_UKTJ
