Job Description Mechanical Engineer - Water Sector12 Month Contract | Hybrid | South East PreferredWe are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy delivering innovative infrastructure projects within the UK water sector. You will join a multi-disciplinary design team working on complex water and wastewater projects, supporting the delivery of major UK infrastructure programmes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead or coordinate a team of Mechanical Engineers delivering design work on complex multi-disciplinary projectsProduce and review technical deliverables including design reports, calculations, drawings and scopes of workDeliver mechanical design solutions across pumping systems and water/wastewater treatment facilitiesCollaborate with project management teams to meet project milestones, budgets and programmesProvide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineersSupport bid proposals and technical submissionsEnsure compliance with UK design standards, legislation and quality assurance processesRequirementsDegree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)Chartered or Incorporated Engineer preferredProven experience delivering mechanical design within the water sectorStrong knowledge of pumps, blowers, screens and chemical dosing systemsUnderstanding of UK design standards, CDM and DSEARExperience working within multi-disciplinary engineering teamsStrong communication and stakeholder collaboration skillsContract DetailsMinimum 12-month contractHybrid working availableCandidates ideally based in the South EastJBRP1_UKTJ
