Project Surveyor

Job Description We are recruiting a Project Surveyor to join a well-established social housing provider in Peterborough. As a Project Surveyor, you will oversee the commercial delivery of planned maintenance and capital investment projects, ensuring financial performance, compliance and value for money. This is an excellent opportunityto take ownership of key programmes within a growing and forward-thinking organisation.Whats on offer: Salary: 45,000 55,000 per annum (DOE) Working pattern: Full-time, flexible hybrid working Local Government Pension Scheme, mileage allowance, up to 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays, option to purchase additional leave, funded professional membership (RICS), wellbeing support, and structured progression opportunities.Project Surveyor key responsibilities include:Managing budgets across planned works and capital projectsPreparing cost plans, forecasts and tender documentationProcuring and managing contractors in line with public sector regulationsAdministering JCT/NEC contractsManaging valuations, variations and final accountsMonitoring financial performance and reporting on project spendSupporting asset investment and long-term financial planningProjects will include kitchen and bathroom programmes, roofing and external works, fire safety upgrades, retrofit and decarbonisation schemes, void refurbishments and major repairs programmes. You will demonstrate strong commercial acumen, effective negotiation skills and experience delivering projects within social housing or the public sector.The successful Project Surveyor will have:A qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial ManagementExperience managing contractors and project budgetsKnowledge of JCT and/or NEC contractsStrong stakeholder and contract management skillsIdeally working towards or holding RICS accreditationIf you are a Project Surveyor looking to make a real impact within social housing in Peterborough, this could be your next opportunity.
