Job Description Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) - PPA CoverLocation: Peterborough, UKContract: Full-Time Mon-Fri Simply Education is seeking a confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to provide PPA cover across primary schools in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified HLTA who is passionate about supporting primary education and delivering high-quality lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.This flexible supply role is ideal for professionals who enjoy variety and are confident leading whole-class teaching.The RoleAs a HLTA providing PPA cover, you will:Deliver pre-planned lessons across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2Lead whole-class teaching during teachers' PPA timeAdapt learning activities to meet the needs of all pupilsMaintain positive behaviour in line with school policiesSupport pupils' academic progress and wellbeingProvide clear feedback to class teachers on pupil progressWork collaboratively with teaching staff and senior leadersQualifications & Experience RequiredHLTA qualification or equivalent Level 4 qualification (essential)Proven experience working within a primary school settingExperience leading whole-class teachingStrong knowledge of the primary curriculumExcellent classroom and behaviour management skillsStrong communication and organisational skillsA flexible, proactive, and professional approachSafeguarding & ComplianceEnhanced DBS check (registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply)Right to work in the UKAbility to meet safeguarding and recruitment compliance standardsSafeguarding StatementSimply Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
