Job Description Join a high-performing manufacturing team where efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything our client does. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in keeping machines running at their best.Key Responsibilities:Daily running of moulding machines in line with Mould shop capacity planTo monitor machine utilisation for all shifts using ThingTrax monitoring systemUpdating ThingTrax to indicate machine status i.e., running, tool change, sampling etc.Check during shifts that all available machines are running. Reporting to senior setter or Shift Manager any issues which effect machine runningCarry out tool changes to achieve maximum utilisation in conjunction with mould shop plan and running priorityPromote SMED principles to achieve rapid tool changesMonitor tool changes per shift and durations, identify areas for improvementTarget worst case cycle times and install improvement actions. Once worst cases are actioned move to next level with overall objective of all machines being within quoted cycle timesCheck daily quality issues with quality department/inspectors and plan corrective actionsIdentify any training required: liaise with Shift manager on personal improvementsCarry out setting-conditioning / tool hanging to maximise machine running performanceConduct and or participate in problem solving actions where appropriateRecord data relevant to process controls (setting sheet), process improvements and best practicesLiaise with Shift manager and Production manager on any issues or management support requirementsPromote 5S principles and best practicesEnsure working areas are left in neat and tidy condition on completion of taskPerform any other duties as requested within the scope of your ability and in pursuance of the company objectivesHealth and Safety:Ensure all duties are performed in a safe and efficient manner within the parameters of current Health and Safety legislation (HASAW Act 1974)Understand and carry out individual responsibilityNotify immediately, any accidents, near misses or hazards and assist in any investigationUse and maintain in good condition, protective equipment provided for personal safetyAlways keep work area clean & tidy and free from obstructionsDevelopment:If required by the Company, introduce new employees into the operation training them as and when requiredThrough the appraisal process, identify areas of personal and team development requiredDevelop through continuous performance improvements, customer service and operational efficienciesShift pattern:Monday to Friday 07:00 to 15:00, 15:00 to 23:00, 23:00 to 07:00 on a two-weekly rotation with a 30 minutes paid break, totalling 40 hours per week.Salary:33,000 - 35,000 - depending on skills and experienceIf you feel that this could be the next step in your career, do not hesitate to apply.JBRP1_UKTJ
