Youll play a key role in preparing statutory accounts, leading audit coordination, and supporting budgeting, forecasting, and wider financial controls.This is a great opportunity for someone newly qualified (ACA / ACCA) or with a strong audit background who wants to move into a dynamic in-house finance team.WISH LISTQualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA)Strong technical knowledge of FRS 102 and UK GAAPExperience preparing statutory accounts and liaising with auditorsUnderstanding of VAT and corporation taxExcellent communication skills and attention to detailTHE ROLEStatutory Accounting & Audit:Prepare consolidated statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP and FRS 102Act as the primary contact for external auditors and lead on audit preparationMaintain audit schedules and ensure accurate, on-time year-end deliveryPerform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure data integrityForecasting, Reporting & Controls:Support FP&A with month-end accounts, budgeting and variance analysisAssist with cashflow forecasting, VAT reconciliations, and reportingHelp refine financial controls and implement process improvementsLiaise with tax and accounting advisors on compliance and statutory filingsProcess & Systems Support:Support the quarterly WIP valuation process and ongoing system developmentAssist with company secretarial duties and compliance-related tasksYOUR PROFILEACA / ACCA qualifiedConfident preparing statutory accounts and handling auditsKnowledge of FRS 102, VAT, and UK corporate taxStrong Excel and financial systems skillsOrganised, proactive, and team-orientedSALARY & BENEFITS55,000 60,000 Annual bonusPrivate healthcare25 days holiday + bank holidaysPensionHybrid working (3 days in office)Enhanced pension + life assurance
